Analytics cookies (optional, consent required)
If you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner, we load
Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-P3MP4SB4BJ).
Google may then set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*
to distinguish visitors and measure page views. IP addresses are anonymized
where supported. You can change your choice anytime via the “Cookies” link
in the footer.
Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
4. Who can see your data
Screenshots and coordinates are not public by default. They only become publicly visible if you actively choose to make a world public.
- Private worlds (default) — screenshots and coordinates are visible only to you (the owner) and to people you explicitly invite as world members.
- Public worlds (opt-in) — if you actively mark a world as public, its screenshots (images, coordinates, biome, description, Minecraft display name) can appear on the public discover feed for anyone to see.
- Account email / password / API token — never shown publicly. The API token is only shown to you on your profile page.
- Operator — as host of the service I can access the server database and files as needed to operate, secure, and debug BetterF2. I do not sell your data.
5. Legal basis
Processing for the core service is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the service you request) and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure operation of the website). Optional Google sign-in is processed so you can create and use your account. Optional Google Analytics is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) given via the cookie banner; you may withdraw consent at any time.
6. Third parties
- Google (Sign in) — only if you choose “Sign in with Google”. Google then provides your Google id, email, name, and optionally a profile picture URL.
- Google Analytics — only if you consent to analytics cookies. Usage data (e.g. page views, approximate location derived by Google, device/browser info) is processed by Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC. Data may be transferred to the United States; Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and related safeguards. Details: Google Privacy Policy.
- Hosting — data is stored on the server that hosts betterf2.com.
There is no advertising network and no sale of personal data. Analytics runs only with your consent.
7. Retention
Data is kept for as long as your account exists and the related worlds/screenshots remain stored. You can delete individual screenshots and worlds in the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact the operator (see below).
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request:
- access to your personal data
- rectification of inaccurate data
